Rochelle Cowles from Kidnation Playgrounds Inc. was a key resource and team member throughout our playground project. From the initial quotation, she took the time to understand our desired playground attributes to create a winning design. Our kids really loved playing "grounders", while parents and teachers wanted kids to have room to run around. Rochelle nailed it with a design that accomplished both of those goals while incorporating a wide variety of play equipment to make the most of our fundraised budget. She was knowledgeable about CBE playground rules, and made use of her strong network to execute on our vision.
As it came time for our volunteer build, Rochelle kept track of the equipment delivery schedule, worked with our installer and offered advice to our volunteer coordinators. She was on site every day during the build, willing to lend a hand or troubleshoot with the supplier or installer as needed. The entire school community was thrilled with the design and we have received plenty of positive feedback from kids, neighbours and even other schools planning to build their new playgrounds.
Once the playground was installed, Rochelle continued to care about the quality of our playground. In one of her visits she noticed some irregular paint issues and worked behind the scenes to have them addressed during school holidays with very clear communication to the school community throughout. My name is Dave Powell and I am a parent volunteer at my children's middle school. Over the last 4 years, myself, along with a small contingent of parents, school administration and teachers, have diligently worked towards providing an outdoor recreational space not only for the students of our school, nut also for the surrounding community.
